Instant City Reloaded is a project shared by the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and today’s incarnation of Cabaret Voltaire, the birthplace of Dada in Zurich, in collaboration with Central Saint Martins. It is adapted from a concept by Archigram, the experimental architecture group from London active in the 1960s and 1970s who sought to bring together disparate parts of society in art by means of provisional performance spaces. A large delegation from Zurich will infiltrate London with their inflatable “Dada on Tour” tent for three days.
Exhibition and Live Performances @ Hoxton Arches
The third ICR-Infiltration in London’s exciting East End is a celebration of avant-gardes and utopian urbanism ideas. There will be showings of Cabaret Voltaire’s celebratory film Dada in Nuce. The German theatre artist Kevin Rittberger, together with London design artist Nicholas Mortimer, will be holding a counterfactual lecture performance. There will also be a sequence of performance pieces by students from the Zurich University of the Arts.
The bar is open for the duration of the ICR-Infiltration.
